Biogenique Cranberry), and mine had the expiration date of JL-2028,The 21 mm long capsules are sealed and a bit difficult to open, but once opened, they taste sweet, which means they’re probably not very concentrated. If they’re too big to swallow, they can be added to food that’s not sweetened, as refined sugar would defeat the point. There are only 60 capsules, they’re not concentrated, and for the price they’re at, that is quite bad value. Many other brands have much more concentrated and bitter-tasting cranberry capsules, and more of them, for less money, and it’s definitely worth shopping around if you’re on a budget.The capsules are, however, made from at least some Canadian ingredients by Jensens Labs Inc., in Montreal, QC, Canada. Despite the non-medicinal ingredients appearing to be all vegetarian, and even vegan, nothing on the bottle shows it is, and according to Biogenique’s Web site, their products do have vegetarian labelling on vegetarian products, so these capsules might not be.

This morning I forced open one of the capsules and emptied the contents into my mouth. Nice! Rich full flavor of cranberries.For reasons best not clear to me, somehow, I switched to a heavy daily intake of fruits and vegetables about 18 months or so back. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner, as well as any late-night snacks. Everybody at the four-day fruit and vegetable market now knows me really well.I lost about 14 pounds over this period. I never realized it until I stood on the scales. I had surely noticed the need to tighten the belt, and eventually, punch new holes in the belt.I also noticed that I did not feel tired even after 18 hours of being fully active, including lifting quite some weight and moving machines.Mangoes and blueberries are at the top of my weekly list. While these two are available year-round from all over the world it seems, cranberries are unfortunately highly seasonal, with production mostly in Canada, I believe?I miss cranberries all year except the very short season. Then, what we get is more than half white, not red. Huh? Hopefully, these capsules will provide me the antioxidants from the missing fruit (cranberries) in my list.

It supplies 500 mg of concentrated cranberry per capsule and only requires one per day for effective relief and prevention of UTIs, as well as antioxidant support (cranberries have one of the highest ORAC values of any fruit). Cranberries are especially effective for UTIs because they are effective at disrupting biofilms and resistance does not develop, unlike with antibiotics, as supported by research.This is one of those supplements you need to take consistently to see an effect, because it addresses the root cause. I found this supplement excellent for preventing and addressing an infection in me, and I really like that this brand is highly reputable, so that I can trust its quality. I also like that it is free of the excess sugars one would get from drinking cranberries directly, which can counteract the berry's beneficial effects. I will continue using.
