I’ve been hearing a lot about the benefits of stress relief supplements on social media, it turns out there are many different possible combinations, all with different benefits and usages. Rhodiola is a new one for me, as a woman of a certain age and facing certain health issues, I'm prefer trying a natural approach in hopes of it saving me from going the pharmaceutical route. Since we all have different baselines and expectations, results can be subjective, I won’t go into my results or expected results, I’ll focus on some of the more objective factors.Firstly, this is a new brand for me and I know supplements can be hit and miss, so the first thing I try to do is to determine where the supplements are produced and whether they’re tested according to the health and safety standards I’m familiar and comfortable with, so the NPN is critical, in this I was able to confirm a valid NPN (80068128)Next is safety seal, this bottle came with an intact inner seal, but no outer seal (which I don’t consider to be as important as the inner seal)The bottle indicates to take 1 capsule, 2 times per day and not take before bedtime. I felt there were very responsible warnings on the bottle (in regard to bipolar history or side effects like insomnia or irritability) Ideally you would want to already be aware of this before purchasing.Finally, the taste and tolerability - I found the capsules very easy to swallow with no taste or aftertaste and no gastro after effects. I've taken Ashwaghanda powder in the past and don't really love the taste, so capsules are much more tolerable alternative.Price-wise, for 60 capsules, at 2/day, a bottle should last 1 month, at ~$34 it's a bit on the expensive side, maybe difficult to justify as an experiment, even if it turns out to be effective, it's a bit of steep price.

I've been using this product for about 2 weeks now and haven't noticed any obvious differences in my energy or focus, but from what I read it can take several weeks for effects to be noticeable. Taken at the recommended dosage, this bottle contains 30 days of product. We'll see how it affects me over time.I like that this is a Canadian company and that the product is vegan, free from GMOs, soy, yeast, dairy, eggs, nuts, caffeine, coloring, preservatives, and flavoring. I have a lot of sensitivities, so the less there is for me to react to, the better.The ad says the product is gluten-free, but the company is open about the fact that they do not operate as a gluten-free facility, so if you have serious issues with gluten, that might be something to look into.Their website has more information about the purity, research and manufacturing process. The website states: "Biogenique vitamins undergo rigorous third-party testing to confirm their efficacy and safety. Certificates of Analysis (COA) are available for every batch, allowing customers to verify purity, bioavailability, and results, ensuring complete transparency and trust." Third-party testing, in my opinion, is important so that it's not just the company saying their own products are fantastic.I'm sensitive to some fillers, so I also appreciate that this product has only 2 extra ingredients in addition to the rhodiola.The bottle comes with a safety seal that is stuck securely on the mouth of the bottle, which provides some assurance that the product has not been tampered with. I would prefer a shrink wrap seal on the outside of the cap though, as this type of seal is harder to mimic if there has actually been any tampering.Rhodiola can interfere with sleep so it's worth noting that it should be taken in the morning.Overall, it looks good and I would suggest you give this a shot if you're interested trying a natural product for stress, sleep and energy.

Recommended is 1 capsule, twice per day, and not to take it at bedtime. And so with the recommended dosage, it will last you for 30 days. If you're taking this for the first time, my go to recommendation (for any new supplements, or even same supplements but of different brand) is to take less than the recommended dosage. This is done to see how your body will react to the supplements before committing to the recommended dosage. And since it's a supplement, there's really no right or wrong in terms of taking the recommended dosage. You can obviously take less than recommended. But never exceed it. If you have other health conditions or if you're pregnant, it's always best to seek advice from your doctor first.

Because I've not been using it for more than a month (I started with a different brand name version), it's hard to make any kind of a statement of its efficacy. Also, when taken in conjunction with other supplements, any positive effects that result from using it could be attributed to the combination having an effect versus just one of the items.► While testing, the healthcare provider recommended I take one capsule per day. Before starting any supplement that's not a "standard," such as Vitamins C and D, it's a good idea to talk with your healthcare provider. I always see our holistic practitioner, who is far more educated in supplements and nutrition and have him test whether or not I should be using anything new. Everyone's physiology and nutrition requirements can vary greatly.What I can state is that since I started using it I do wake up in the mornings with a little more positivity. This could correlate to the stress relief claim, but I have no clinical way to confirm what I believe. I have not had any negative responses.Biogenique is a Canadian company, and the product is Health Canada-approved, NPN 80068128. The label shows this is made in Canada, but no details about where the Rhodiola is sourced. At least with a Canadian company, I'm not too concerned about quality control.The only negative item I can mention is that the suggested dose is to take one capsule twice a day. That means the 60 capsules will only last one month; this breaks down to $1.16 per day, which is quite high. There are other Canadian companies selling here on Amazon with far better pricing.
