I've been taking Collagen in Tablet form for several years to help with osteoarthritis. I wanted to try and see if I would get the same results when I take it in powder form.The scoop is quite large which explains why there are only 30 doses in the container. My biggest frustration with this was that it didn't tell you how to consume. I mean obviously it has to be dissolved in water but how much? Does the water (or other liquid) need to be at a certain temperature? I made my own deduction and put one scoop in 1/2 cup of room temperature water. It dissolved quickly and I could only detect the very faintest of taste but almost negligible.I had read that collagen is more effective when taken together with Vitamin C which is what my usual brand has included in it.Overall this is a well made product and knowing it's made in Canada adds an extra level of comfort that it's of high quality.I'm not sure I would buy again as it's significantly more than the brand name that I take now that's working well and is more cost effective.

The Biogenique Collagen powder is a great product, the collagen is super pure, pharmaceutical grade - and it dissolves easily in hot beverages like coffee. The powder is very fine, and thankfully does NOT clump up like some other powders, it just disappears and blends into liquids with no fuss. This is marine collagen, derived from fish bones - but there is no flavor or scent whatsoever - it most certainly is not "fishy" at all, it is perfectly tasteless and unflavored, so I cannot taste anything different about the coffee I blend it into.There are some false narratives out there about Collagen losing its effectiveness if put into a hot beverage, but if you look into it (by all means, please do) there's no loss of effectiveness or bio-availability when placed in your typical hot drink. Hydrolyzed Collagen may begin to degrade if exposed to temperatures exceeding 300°F (150°C) for extended periods. However, coffee and most beverages do not reach these temperatures during preparation or consumption.I've given the product 4-stars overall, losing one star for "value" as it is priced as a higher-tiered premium product. There are certainly less expensive options out there. Having said that, this is an excellent, well made product that is pharmaceutical grade, made in Canada, by a Canadian company that I feel confident I can trust - so I am certainly pleased with it.

No flavour at all! You can mix it into your beverages in the morning and be non the wiser. I find it doesn't dissolve in cold water or drinks as well so I like to add it into half a cup of hot water first, dissolve it, and then mix it into my morning juice or water from there. There are no additives in this product, its is pure and non-GMO. This seems to be a very reputable company and I love that its based in Canada. I will say though that it is on the pricier side then a lot of other reputable companies that offer the same product, so I have to remove a star for that. If money isn't an issue for you, look no further!

Collagen products are a staples for me and so I was eager to try the Canada Made collagen by the brand Biogenique. I ordered and received a sealed white plastic 234g of powder tub. The recommended dose is 1 scoop (7.8g) 1 time per day for a minimum of 5 months to see beneficial effects. Based on the recommended dose this bottle should last 30 days. Normally I would prefer supplements being sold in supplies matching the recommended duration of use for results. However in this case I prefer that it only comes in a 30 day supply. One, because this way the powder won't go stale over the 5 months and two, you can test the product for the off chance you experience the adverse reaction it may cause of mild gastrointestinal disturbance before committing to the 5 months. The expiry date on the tub I received is 18 months from the date of delivery. There is no recommendation on the time of day the collagen should be taken. There is no recommendation to refrigerate once opened but it is recommended to protect the collagen from heat and moisture. The powder is very fine and absorbs easily in cool or room temperature water. I don't see why it couldn't be mixed into juices and smoothies, although I have not tried either yet. I didn't notice any taste, after taste or smell. I have taken the recommended dose and I have not experienced any adverse reactions. I would order this again for my collagen supplementation.

That being said overall, this is a very great product. It is clean and pure and simple with nothing else added, which I really appreciate. It has been easy to digest for me. My tummy has not gotten upset or gassy, which I know some other collagen peptides can cause stomach upset. Very pleased with this product
